Privacy and Processing of Personal Data NOTICE
At Umbrella Safeguarding your privacy is taken very seriously and to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) I wish to clarify how your personal data is used. I will only use personal data in ways described here, and in a way that is consistent with my obligations and your rights under the law.

What is personal data?
Personal data is defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulations as:
"any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ('data subject'); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person".
How your personal data is used
Under UK GDPR there must always be a lawful basis for using your personal data. This may be because the data is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to the use of your personal data, or because it is in the legitimate business interests to use it. Your personal data may be used for one of the following purposes:
· Providing and managing your account
· Supplying my services to you.
· Personalising and tailoring my services to you
What personal data for we collect?
As an integral part of the legitimate business interaction with you, the following information (if provided/applicable), if supplied by yourself at the time of original interaction, will be retained:
· Name
· School name/Trading name
· Job Title
· Telephone number (landline and/or mobile)
· Email address
· Postal address (if applicable)
· Payment information as detailed on invoices or purchase orders
This data will be used to administrate the supply of goods or services either to you or from you.
The data will be stored digitally and, in order to protect your information, suitable and adequate Antivirus, Antispyware, Malware and Firewall protection will be used.
Retention of Data
Your information will be kept until there is no longer any need to communicate with you and in line with the Data Retention Policy, which can be obtained on request. Where goods or services have been supplied, or a request made for the supply of goods or services, this data is processed because a contract exists between us. There are also legal obligations to maintain financial information.
Third Parties
Data may be passed to a third party where required to fulfil our legal or contractual obligations, or as requested by you. These obligations may include contact with a third party as instructed by you to fulfil the contractual obligations and includes legal obligations to the HMRC.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Under UK GDPR you have certain rights regarding your data:
· You have the right to ask for a copy of any data that is held about you
· You have a right to have any data that is incorrect, corrected
· You have the right to object to the use of your data
· You have the right to have your data provided to you to take elsewhere in a suitable format
· You have the right to have your data deleted in certain circumstances
· You have the right to lodge a complaint about the use of your data with the Information Commissioner www.ico.org.uk/concerns

Changes to this Privacy Notice
I may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes, or if I change my business in a way that affects personal data protection. Any changes will be made available on the Umbrella Safeguarding website.
